Another one bites the dust

On the Surface - Kate Willoughby

Darn it, I really wanted to like this book.

At first this book read just fine but as I continued to read it at 45% I begun to see the story unravel and the character sound more and more like teenagers and not adults. Erin never actively sounded like a grown up woman and Tim wasn't much better in that department either despite the fact of him being a 32 year old male with plenty of life experience. Their chemistry felt forced and their dialogue was really awkward, I just couldn't connect with what I feel should be an adult relationship but was just a teenage romance with grown ups.
