It's hard to rate this book, the prose is juvenile and overly sarcastic to the extreme and the pacing is really bad but buried underneath it all there is a story. An it is and intriguing story that made me read to the very end, however I must admit to having skim a few chapters. Jones isn't really bringing anything new to the table with this series, most of it is cliche and predictable. I can't say I loved it but I also can't say I hate it because I enjoyed some aspects of it.The ending was good but mainly because Reyes is the most interesting character and his relationship with Charley, while filled with insta-love and silence, is the most interesting part of the story. I am still thinking about continuing with this series. The prose would have to seriously improve and so would the execution of the story.
