I'm officially ruined for other books and I have Ilona and Gordon to thank for that

Magic Burns - Ilona Andrews

He put the book down. “As you wish.” He rose and walked past me. I lowered my sword, expecting him to pass, but suddenly he stepped in dangerously close. “Welcome home. I’m glad you made it. There is coffee in the kitchen for you.”
My mouth gaped open.
He inhaled my scent, bent close, about to kiss me…
I just stood there like an idiot.
Curran smirked and whispered in my ear instead. “Psych.”
And just like that, he was out the door and gone.
Oh boy.

I enjoyed this book this time so much more than the first two times. I dunno what it was but I just did. Curran really grew on me in this one, he stopped being a caveman and the fact that he got dumped by his girlfriend was beyond funny. It was also incredibly cracktastic that Kate and Curran's exes got together and got married. It was beyond hilarious. That last scene with the Fomorian demons was really epic and the end was truly emotional.

I love this series. I don't know how I am ever going to find another series to read that is just as good as this one? The Kate Daniels series has set the bar so high for me that it has ruined me for other books.
