Let the Sky Fall (Sky Fall, #1)

Let the Sky Fall (Sky Fall, #1) - Shannon Messenger Allright so here is the deal, I try to read this book but everytime I thought of opening it up on my Kindle I would do ANYTHING so that I wouldn't have to. This book, the concept is really intriguing but the execution of it and the way the characters are written is just TERRIBLE. The author also spoils ALL her important plot points in the beginning thus giving you really nothing to look forward to and the entire book is horribly predictable. Uploaded with ImageShack.usAnd no, I am not using this words lightly, I tried really, really, REALLY hard to like this book, I tried so hard to see the good parts of it but I just COULDN'T. Vane is such an IDIOT, his character is written all over the place and is as disjointed as the story itself. Most of the time when he is talking I want to tell him:Uploaded with ImageShack.usHe is such a terrible character and all over the place with his personality too. It was SO bad. Audra is marginally better but I feel that is because the author understood how to write from a female perspective better than from a male one, but that isn't saying much really. One moment she is cold and calculating and the next she is falling apart at the seams, doing REALLY stupid shit and blaming Vane because he doesn't get or know stuff that he had NO previous knowledge of. She was really bad.Uploaded with ImageShack.usAnd all this stuff makes me angry because if this book had been written in second person limited and the plot thought out properly it could have been A-MA-ZING but its not and that makes me angry. What also makes me angry is that I spent MONEY to get angry. At least [bc:Quintana of Charyn|10165761|Quintana of Charyn (Lumatere Chronicles, #3)|Melina Marchetta|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1331187719s/10165761.jpg|15064476] is coming out tomorrow.
