[Day 11 of Book Challenge] A book you hated

The Reapers Are the Angels (Reapers #1) - Alden Bell The Renfield Syndrome (Rhiannon's Law, #2) - J.A. Saare Taking on the Dead - Annie Walls

I have a whole shelve for this category, I read a lot and thus I hate on a lot. XDDD But these three books stick out of the herd for good reason.

The Reapers are Angels by Alden Bell, there are no quotation marks around the dialogue and it was a huge pet peeve of mine. 15 year old MC leaving around the world after a Zombie apocalypse almost gets rape by this guy and she kills him. The rapist brother wants revenge, not because he harbors illusions that his brother was a paragon of all virtues but simply because he was brother. Never mind the fact that the sick bastard was going to rape a 15 year old girl. She also has sex with some 25 year old guy, if that isn't icky I dunno what is?

The Rendfield Syndrome by J.A. Saare, Rhianon had previously asked in book of Disco, her vampire boyfriend, to never sift through her memories as she felt that it was a violation of privacy. Guess what he does in a moment of anger and jealousy? Yes, crack her head open and view all her thoughts and feelings without her permission, with the excuse that Rhianon had been unfaithful to him, leaving her screaming in agony and going through a whole week hiding out from him while he tries to apologize. Did I trigger you yet?

Taking on the Dead by Annie Walls, this book went from great zombie apocalypse to an episode of day of our lives complete with friends fighting over the MC and a pregnant ex-gf coming in between the main couple. Yes, you read that right, the zombies where there for shock value.
