Tons of fun
This books middle name is original and fantastic.
The world building is super and I just can't remember the last time I read something so original, aside from the Kate Daniels series, of course. The prose might be a bit too purple at times and the cheese got a little too thick but the world building and original concepts where so fresh that it totally eclipse whatever issues I might have had with that.
I must also give Harrison props for having written about the one magical creature that hardly ever makes an appearance in fiction. Very few authors write about unicorns and when they do its mostly for children. I wish more author would write about said mythical creatures, they definitely bring about a fresh new twist to Fantasy and its Urban Fantasy cousin.
